IN THE SUN!
A good time was had by all at the Royal Clarence Yard BBQ
More than 100 residents,
along with their families and friends, recently enjoyed a sizzling
BBQ hosted by Berkeley Homes at Royal Clarence Yard, Gosport. With
165 homes at the striking waterfront development now occupied, the
occasion provided a wonderful opportunity for the growing new community
to come together and for new friendships to be made.

Gathering on the
terrace of the sales and marketing suite, guests were serenaded
by Reading band, The Beatroots, as they enjoyed Pimm's; just the
thing for a sweltering hot day. Rib rides had also been arranged,
with many taking the opportunity to cool off as they whizzed around
the harbour.
Ian Plumley, sales
and marketing director of Berkeley Homes (Southern) says: “The
weather was superb for our BBQ and a good time was had by all. It
was a real pleasure to meet all the residents and their guests.
Royal Clarence Yard offers outstanding views across the marina towards
Portsmouth Harbour and this was certainly a day to savour the superb
setting.”
The development provides
the perfect vantage point from which to watch many harbour events,
not least the Trafalgar 200 celebrations that took place on 28 June.
On this day too, residents gathered along the waterfront, this time
to watch Her Majesty The Queen set off to review the fleet that
had gathered in the Solent to celebrate the bicentenary of the Battle
of Trafalgar. A few days later, they also had excellent views of
all the boats taking part in the International Festival of the Sea.
The recent announcement
that Clipper Ventures plc is to relocate its global business to
Royal Clarence Yard in November has been very well received amongst
sailing enthusiasts at the development. Already, many of the company’s
striking yachts, including those taking part in the round-the-world
race later this year, are already berthed there, with the waterfront
bustling with activity.
Royal Clarence Yard
has undergone a remarkable £100 million transformation by
Berkeley Homes. The development spans 44 acres and includes new
homes in addition to those in the refurbished 19th century buildings.
In addition to offices, there will be an excellent choice of bars,
restaurants and shops in the waterfront area, which is due to be
completed later this summer. Other amenities include the recently
opened Hopscotch nursery; there are also plans for a cinema.
Luxury homes currently
available in the Grade II listed Granary & Bakery building include
two bedroom apartments priced from £215,000 and three bedroom
apartments priced from £335,000. Newly built homes in The
Galley include one bedroom apartments priced from £150,000,
two bedroom apartments priced from £174,500 and penthouses
from £269,500.
